Questions
The short answers
What does "continuous" mean?
Your membership stays active and paid without a gap. If a payment fails, you have 14 days to fix it and nothing changes. After that, the founder rate and benefits end.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. Switching billing does not affect your founder status or your locked rate. Email Eric before your renewal and we will handle it.
Is everything included?
All courses, certificate programs, certificate verification, and other online education we release for members. Residency programs, in-person events, and organizational plans are separate.
What if I cancel and come back later?
You are welcome back at whatever the standard membership costs then. The founder rate cannot be reinstated once it ends.
Can I pause?
No. A pause counts as a gap. Annual billing is the easiest way to stay continuous without thinking about it.
I joined with a conference offer. Am I a founder?
Yes. Your conference discount applies for your first year. After that, you continue at the standard founder rate, locked from then on.
What happens when 100 founders are in?
The offer closes. New members join at standard pricing, and certificate programs move to a premium tier. Founders keep everything.
Founders Membership terms
Effective September 2026. These terms apply to the BrainSmith Founders Membership offered by BrainSmith LLC ("BrainSmith").
1. Eligibility and limit
The Founders Membership is limited to the first 100 paid memberships. BrainSmith tracks enrollment and closes the offer when 100 founder memberships have been claimed, or earlier at BrainSmith's discretion. Members who join through a BrainSmith conference promotion are founders. Their promotional discount applies for the first 12 months of membership, after which the standard founder rate applies and is locked from that point.
2. Founder rate
The founder rate is $39.99 per month or $383.90 per year, billed through Thinkific. This rate is locked for as long as your membership remains continuously active and paid. Founders may switch between monthly and annual billing at any time by contacting BrainSmith; a billing switch does not affect founder status or the locked rate.
3. Continuous membership
Founder benefits depend on continuous membership. If a payment fails, you have a 14-day grace period to update payment and remain a founder. If your membership is cancelled, lapses beyond the grace period, or is refunded, founder status and the founder rate end and cannot be reinstated. Pausing is not available; any gap in paid membership ends founder status.
4. What is included
Founders receive access to all courses, certificate programs, certificate verification, and other online education in the BrainSmith member library, both current and released in the future for members, at no additional cost. Certificate programs and verification will become a premium tier for members who join after the founder offer closes; founders retain access within their membership. Residency and fellowship programs, live or in-person events, consulting, and organizational or group plans are not included.
5. Access and content
Access continues only while your membership is active. Course content is streamed, not downloadable, and is not available after cancellation. Certificates of completion you have earned remain yours. BrainSmith may add, update, retire, or replace courses at its discretion. Continuing education credit is subject to approval by each state or credentialing body and is not guaranteed for every course.
6. One member per membership
A Founders Membership is for one named individual and may not be shared, transferred, or combined into an organizational or group plan.
7. Billing and refunds
Monthly memberships renew monthly and annual memberships renew annually until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A full refund is available within 7 days of your first payment. Refunding the first payment ends founder status. Later payments are not refundable. Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required.
8. Founder recognition
Founders receive a digital founder badge and a small gift from BrainSmith, to be announced. With your permission, your name will appear on the BrainSmith founders list. You may opt out or remove your name at any time by contacting us.
9. Changes and contact
BrainSmith may update these terms with notice to members; changes will not reduce the founder rate lock or the included access described in sections 2 and 4 for existing founders. Questions or disputes: Eric Robertson, eric@brainsmith.org. Offer void where prohibited.
